According to the Telegram channel “Autopotok”, a fairly large player in the Russian car market is no longer concerned with “Muscovites” and is selling its shares at discounts. Representatives of the Avtorus Group of Companies stated that the decision to terminate the dealership agreement was made by mutual agreement between the dealer and the manufacturer, but did not disclose the reasons for this decision.
It’s worth noting that the company apparently wasn’t very interested in working with the factory at first. Suffice it to say that in its structure only one dealer center was involved in the sale of Moskvich cars, in the Izmailovo district of the capital. The remaining DCs largely specialize in cars from numerous Chinese brands and cars from a number of car manufacturers that have fled the country, imported under the parallel import scheme. Therefore, we can assume that sales of domestic vehicles simply do not fit into the company’s business plan.
The dealer also did not say how many Moskvich cars are left in the company’s warehouses and at what discounts these cars are now sold, but the mention of the brand has already disappeared from the seller’s official website. As for the terms of the “sale”, the portal “AvtoVzglyad”, which contacted the managers of the car dealer in the “mystery shopper” mode, was offered a “Moskvich 3”, which drove 1,500 km in customer test drives for 1,850,000 rubles (excluding credit programs, trade-in and other options) and an “unused” copy for 1,950,000. And taking into account the usual price for a two and a quarter “llama” model, this can be considered an attraction of unprecedented generosity.
Let us not forget that in mid-May 2022, the mayor of the capital announced the resumption of production of cars under the Soviet brand. Now the company produces the crossover Moskvich 3, the electric car Moskvich 3e and the sedan Moskvich 6. And next year the line will be replenished with two new models.
