The head of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, said on the Rossiya 1 television channel that a pilot batch of Largus with electric motors will be assembled this month, after which engineers will start setting up the equipment. The carmaker announced in August the transfer of station wagon production from Tolyatti to Izhevsk. Related works at the plant started in September and will last at least nine months. Largus production will therefore only start in the second quarter of next year.

In August, AVTOVAZ assembled a limited station wagon series of 650 cars – the model had not been produced since last summer due to a lack of components. It was also reported that AVTOVAZ has already brought two Largus bodies from Togliatti to Izhevsk to set up equipment at the enterprise.
