Mercedes-Benz recently introduced a new product to its truck line: the Actros C. The tractor was specially designed for China and is produced in China by the Daimler-Foton joint venture, but can now also be purchased in Russia.
According to the Quto portal, Mercedes-Benz Actros C tractors in China cost about 7,000,000 rubles, but trucks that reach Russia through parallel imports are almost twice as expensive: at least 12,000,000 rubles. The cost depends on the configuration – engine and wheel setup, which can be 4×2, 6×2 or 6×4. Models with Cummins inline sixes, ZF 12-speed robot gearboxes and Meichi driveshafts arrived in the Russian Federation.
The “Chinese” Actros differs from the “German” not only by the letter C in the name, but also by its design – it has a slightly simpler cabin design and cheap interior materials. The localization level of Actros C tractors was already more than 50% at the start of production. If you wish, in Russia you can also find “ordinary” Actros for sale – their cost starts from 13,000,000 rubles.
