2022 marks the 90th anniversary of the German race track Hockenheimring. To mark the anniversary of the circuit, which has been home to the Porsche Experience Center since 2019, the German automaker has unveiled a special Porsche Taycan GTS electric sedan in the Hockenheimring Edition. The electric car differs from the basic version with a special body and interior decor, as well as privileges for the owner, which he can use during a visit to the race track.

The body of the novelty is painted in a special color Stone Gray, complemented by accents in Bronzite, and 21-inch Mission E Design wheels are decorated in the same color as the main color of the electric car. The brake calipers are painted black and the Hockenheimring Edition logos are finished in Stone Grey.

For the first time in the history of the Porsche Taycan, an electric vehicle has been upholstered in dark leather with expired Island Green thread, decorative panels made of open-pore Paldao wood, and some parts painted in Bronzite.

In addition to nameplates, the special version is distinguished by the Hockenheimring 90th anniversary logo embossed on the central armrest, and when the door is opened, special projectors display the same emblem on the pavement. Also, the anniversary logo is applied to the key of the electric vehicle.

Technically, the Porsche Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition follows the standard model introduced at the end of 2021 – the electric car has a twin-engine 598-horsepower electric propulsion system and all-wheel drive. The buyer of the special version will be able to park on the territory of the Porsche Experience Centre, attend company events and use the charging stations on the track free of charge for two years.
