Mercedes-Benz just announced a new car Maybach, solar-powered, off-road style. The car’s design is the result of a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and renowned fashion designer Virgil Abloh, who passed away last week.
The German manufacturer claims that the project has a unique design unlike anything the company has ever done. Maybach has been designed from the ground up with features designed for stability. The Maybach was due to be unveiled during Miami Art Week through December 5th. Out of respect for the memory of the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh, as well as the wishes of the family, Mercedez-Benz decided to exhibit the car at the Rubell Museum in Miami. The event is open to the public, so anyone can get acquainted with the latest project of the designer.
Abloh passed away on November 28 from cancer. He has gained international recognition for his work in the fashion world as Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton and its Off-White brand. Mercedes-Benz, in an official statement, said it was devastated by Abloh’s passing and highlighted the designer’s great vision and inspiring designs.
