According to Mercedes-Benz, thanks to artificial intelligence, the assistant will respond much more “humanely” not only to the driver’s requests, but also to his condition – for example, if he says: “I’m hungry”, the assistant will not. only suggest that he go to the nearest cafe, but inquire about gastronomic preferences.
The assistant can also plan routes based on events in the owner’s calendar and suggest changes if he is late. Mercedes-Benz notes that the virtual partner will even be able to adapt to the driver’s mood. This is reflected in the timbre of the voice and the duration of the comments.
The standard navigation gets a detailed 3D view of buildings and shows on the display not only a map, but also the time of day and the current weather. A series of video games will appear in multimedia – it will be offered by Sony and Antstream. Finally, MB OS will feature several pre-installed media services for playing streaming audio and video content.
The new system should make its debut this year on the new-generation production Mercedes-Benz CLA.
