What will you remember from the first working week of 2024? Analysts summarize new car sales for 2023, AVTOVAZ shared its ambitious plans, the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg was closed, road workers increased prices for travel on the M11 Neva highway, representatives of the after-sales service sector warned of problems with spare parts and rising prices for car repair services. And all the details are in the video overview of the AutoVzglyad portal.
It turned out that Russians bought just over a million new cars in 2023 – 69% more than in 2022. LADA cars were in great demand among our fellow citizens. Second and third places go to Chery and Haval. Looking at the models, the LADA Granta again became the bestseller of the year. And among foreign cars – Haval Jolion.
But what happened is over: it’s time to move on. And for example, our native AVTOVAZ has already moved. In the first week of work, residents of Tolyatti announced prices for the LADA Vesta Sportline station wagon. However, this is far from the only new product that the domestic auto giant has planned for 2024. There really are a lot of pleasant surprises waiting for us.
The former Hyundai factory in St. Petersburg was also satisfied, which started working again after almost two years. For now, the company is maintaining equipment and training staff, and later they will start assembling machines from the remaining components. Yes, yes, Korean cars, but under a different – most likely Chinese – brand.
The car factory, previously owned by Mercedes and now owned by the Avtodom dealer, would also have to restart almost every day now. But there are no details: it is only known that the company’s management is negotiating with “eastern” partners, hoping to “make friends” with the “bounties”.
And in more detail about this and other main events of the coming week, a video review from the AutoVzglyad portal will tell you, which you can watch Here.
