According to the portal Lada.online, there is currently no cruise control on the LADA Vesta due to a shortage of electronic components. AVTOVAZ promised that the option will appear later, but dealers will not retrofit previously produced cars. “Cruise”, they say, is associated with the presence of an ESP system in the car, so it is impossible to activate one without the other. But the specialists from the Lada Vesta Club discovered that this is not the case: the cruise control only needs a speed signal and this can be obtained from the ABS sensor, for example, via the CAN bus.
You can “cruise” on Vesta NG and activate the speed limiter at the same time using the new firmware of the electronic engine unit and the instrument cluster, but only for the Techno package. The buttons needed to operate the cruise control are already on the steering wheel.
The service is available in the cities of Russia and Kazakhstan – the new option costs about 7,000 rubles. Of course, AVTOVAZ does not encourage such “independent activities”, so in case of problems, dealers will have a reason to refuse to perform warranty work.
