Porsche has announced the world debut of the new generation Macan. The crossover, which will replace the combustion engine with an electric powertrain, will be shown in Singapore next week.
The premiere of the electric Porsche Macan will take place on January 25. As a teaser, the company published a fresh image of the upcoming new product – on it you can see a diode strip of a lamp across the entire width of the stern and a small retractable spoiler that opens at high speeds to improve aerodynamics. No wonder Porsche emphasized that the aerodynamic drag coefficient of the electric crossover will be only 0.25 – compared to 0.35 for the current generation with a combustion engine.
The total power of the new Macan power plant with permanent magnet electric motors will reach 610 hp. It will work together with a 95 kWh lithium-ion battery, which promises a range of up to 500 km on a single charge. Even at 400 volt stations you can charge it from 10 to 80% in just 22 minutes, but charging with alternating current with a power of up to 11 kilowatts is also possible.
Sales of the new product will start this year and the electric crossover will be offered together with the petrol version for some time. It can only reach Russia thanks to the efforts of ‘parallel’ importers.
