The articulated Yamal V-4520 is an absolutely original development. It has its own frame and articulation, although the cab comes from KamAZ and the bridges from Kirovets. There’s still a 300-hp Cummins turbo diesel under the cab, but if sanctions prevent the supply of such units, the company stands ready to replace the American engine with a domestic V8.

Allison will also have to look for a replacement for the American automatic transmission. But the developers told the AvtoVzglyad portal that a suitable option was also found. In general, a machine with a bearing capacity of 25 tons is ready for import replacement.

And the manufacturer assures that only out of stupidity it is possible to “plant” such an all-terrain vehicle off-road. Which is very close to the truth: with four-wheel drive, a limited slip differential, a reduction gear and 750/65 R25 wheels, this two-axle seems almost invulnerable.

Another off-road novelty of the CTT exhibition was the MAZ 8×8 four-wheel drive mining dumper. In addition, the Belarusian MAZ generally turned out to be the only one of the major domestic car factories to organize its own exposition at this event.
