Apparently, the long downtime, from which AvtoVAZ has not recovered in recent months, has at least benefited someone. The factory poured the energy not wasted on its “main work” into its “hobby” – the factory racing team, proudly named LADA Sport Rosneft. No one would have remembered, especially at a time when the domestic auto industry, including Togliatti’s pride and beauty, is skewed by a lack of components. But now the team itself decided to show off cool cars.
AVTOVAZ itself is currently trying with incredible efforts to launch the production of at least one LADA Granta of the “chisel edition” level – without airbags, ABS, the ERA GLONASS module and similar excesses: in fact, a technical analogue of the “injection” VAZ 2109 of the 90s of the last century. And no one in the factory is promising about the assembly of LADA Vesta now – sometime later, when everything will work out. And at that moment – ta-dammm…
Picture the picture: In a gloomy Russian pub somewhere in the area where hopelessness is drowned in old-fashioned Zhigulevsky by gloomy “hard-working car factories”, he suddenly breaks in – in tight jeans, in a bright T-shirt and branded cap, all just like that barber shop – LADA Sport Rosneft! And noisily orders champagne. After all, it’s vacation for him: the team has built new cars for the Russian series circuit races SMP RSKG – LADA Vesta NG TCR and LADA Vesta 1.6T!
You won’t believe it, but it turns out that the former has improved aerodynamics, improved suspension, a new gearbox, exhaust system and security system elements. And on the second car, the layout of the engine compartment has been changed and anti-lag has been added. Well, wow, right? I don’t think it’s hard to imagine with what eyes the public of our “beer house” will look at a sparkling visitor. So what about Vesta’s resumption of serial production, huh? Who cares if the factory VAZ team now also has a LADA Niva Legend ready for rally raids.
How on time, damn it! We’ve been waiting for a long time – and finally, aha! Where should I throw my hat? Although of course the riders can only be jealous: they don’t seem to have any problems with parts, unlike the parent company. And motorsport itself is cool too. Only against the background of the general garbage in the Russian car industry, high sporting achievements on the race tracks do not look so strange. On the contrary, it is by definition meaningless.
Almost like a European haute couture show in Taliban (extremist and banned) Afghanistan. Where local women will watch half-naked beauties filthy along the catwalk in gorgeous bright outfits through narrow meshes in their black bags on their heads, knowing full well that this beautiful life is just as far away from them as the dusty expanses of Mars. ..
