Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov spoke about the measures taken by the country’s leaders to ensure the survival of the domestic auto industry despite Western sanctions. The official’s words are quoted by the AvtoVzglyad portal.

– We make an active effort in the dynamics of the reproduction of the necessary car components. In particular, 30 billion rubles have now been thrown to dynamically reproduce the necessary car components, Borisov said on the airwaves of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

According to him, the release of authorities-approved cars with the Euro 0 environmental class approved by the authorities at Russian car factories is a forced and temporary measure that had to be taken to avoid production stoppages. He also noted that the lack of auto parts affected not only Russian enterprises, but also almost all car manufacturers in the world. In addition, he said the economic sanctions imposed on Russia are affecting domestic motor vehicle manufacturers to varying degrees.

“Trucks, buses, cars and commercial vehicles have different problems,” the deputy prime minister said.
