One of the car dealers in Rostov-on-Don offered for sale an unusual GAZ-13 – the Soviet executive sedan was equipped with equipment from the Japanese SUV Lexus LX. At the same time, the appearance of the restomod remained almost indistinguishable from the usual “Chaika”.

According to the Southern Automobile portal, the engine, gearbox and interior of the Lexus LX 570 were used to build the unique Chaika. From the outside, the restomod can be recognized by LED headlights from an unknown manufacturer, as well as chrome rims. In the cabin, the steering wheel, instrument panel, seats, center console and tunnel from Lexus, as well as the door panels and many other interior elements, stand out.

From the original elements of the Chaika, the dial clock on the front panel has been preserved, but next to it you can see the display of the SUV’s multimedia system, which is controlled by a joystick to the right of the automatic transmission selector.

The Chaika for sale is the 19th example of the model, but the converted sedan is unlikely to find recognition among collectors; they would rather appreciate a thorough restoration than a merciless tuning. In addition, the seller hopes to earn a fantastic 75,000,000 rubles for the hybrid GAZ-13 and Chaika.
