Avtozavod St. Petersburg, an enterprise that previously assembled Nissan cars, announced the launch of its own brand XCITE. The first series of several thousand cars has already been produced – the start of sales is scheduled for spring 2024.

Representatives of the new domestic brand XCITE do not reveal details about the models; they only say that their production will be launched “in close cooperation with international partners.” In addition, it is said that the brand will offer products that take into account “the values of Russian consumers, their lifestyle and business conditions in Russia.” And this gives hope for truly affordable cars.

The brand name XCITE (emphasis on the second syllable) is derived from the English verb to excite, i.e. ‘to excite’ or ‘to excite’. And as its slogan, the car factory in St. Petersburg chose the phrase ‘Win in what matters most’. The brand’s signature colors will be yellow and green: according to company representatives, they reveal its main message: “inspiration and fullness of vital energy, the joy of movement and communication.”

As already mentioned, the first XCITE cars will come onto the market in the spring. In the meantime, the company is building warehouse inventory, negotiating with dealer centers and recruiting a team. All details about the cars and prices will of course be released closer to launch.

Let us remind you that after Nissan left Russia, Avtozavod St. Petersburg became part of the AVTOVAZ structure.
