ASUS, one of the largest hardware manufacturers in the world, has received the highest security rating on 5 of its WiFi6 routers. The recognition comes from the Singapore Cyber Security Agency (CSA), which has awarded Level 4 of the Cyber Security Labeling Scheme. The feat is not new, as ASUS has already achieved the same rating for other models in 2021.
The new version of the gaming smartphone will soon appear worldwide
This time, ASUS ZenWiFi XD6, TUF Gaming AX5400, TUF Gaming AX3000, RT-AX82U and RT-AX58U routers have been rated “CLS Level 4” (Cybersecurity Labeling Scheme). ASUS currently has 6 routers that are considered among the most secure in the world. The other two are ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 and ASUS RT-AX88U.
Of the five network devices that received the highest security rating, 4 are routers (TUF Gaming AX5400, TUF Gaming AX3000, RT-AX82U, and RT-AX58U) and ASUS ZenWifi XD6 mesh system, consisting of two AX5400 WiFi 6″ routers. We explain all technologies
“ASUS is proud to be the first router brand to achieve CLS Level 4, the highest level in the cybersecurity labeling scheme,” said Tenlong Deng, ASUS Corporate Vice President, General Manager of ASUS Networking and Wireless Business Unit. “As more products are being tested and certified by CLS, our ongoing efforts to provide reliable and secure networking solutions for our customers have been fully recognized.”
The Smart Device Security Rating awarded by the Singapore Cybersecurity Agency is the first in the Asia-Pacific region. Products that have achieved CLS level 3 and above are also recognized by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) for cybersecurity compliance.
Level 1 CLS ensures that devices meet basic security requirements, such as providing software updates and saving passwords by default. The level rating says the device was designed using Security-by-Design principles “such as threat risk assessment, critical design review, and acceptance testing.”
