On March 1, the Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg, where Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio are produced, had to shut down the assembly line due to an acute shortage of components. The AvtoVzglyad portal tried to find out when the production of popular state employees could resume again.

In fact, the situation remains difficult. On the one hand, the management of the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus plant assured the staff that the Korean car manufacturer would not leave the Russian market. And on the other hand, the downtime of the conveyor belt can easily last until the end of the year: in this case, all staff receive ⅔ of the average salary.

According to the Fontanka publication, the downtime has now been extended to June 30, but then a two-week collective vacation will follow. So even if the supply of spare parts can be resumed, the factory will not be able to restart until July 18.

Meanwhile, GAZ and KamAZ remained the two Russian car factories, whose conveyors have continued to operate for the past few months. But if the residents of Nizhny Novgorod feel confident, then the strength limit of the manufacturer from Naberezhnye Chelny seems to have been chosen.
