drones Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 The cinema has received a new update, version 01.00.0700 May 2022, the biggest of all, considering the number of fixes and news. The version contains as some highlights a simplified way to switch between cameras and their functions, support for RAW photos on the TV camera, and 4K 50fps resolution, before the TV camera’s top speed was 30fps. The Mavic 3 Cine has also received several improvements related to the recording mode support. Now it is also possible to reset the drone to factory settings through the option in the application. Finally, optimization at the home point (starting point), camera video focusing, and optimization during the Hyperlapse process.
The Mavic 3 now supports recording with the HLG profile, a filter that is applied directly to the video being recorded, making life easier for those with little experience in editing. Another highlight was the support for ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 LT formats for the Mavic 3 Cine drone, a model that is very attractive for professional use.

A fix that promises to fix latency in locating GPS satellites with Mavic 3 models was not mentioned in the list, but does feature “Increased home point update rate”, something along the lines of “improved takeoff point data”, a very indirect translation / straight to ” GPS issue resolved” according to the DroneDJ website. This was one of the latest major issues with the Mavic 3 drones, which we intend to test in the coming days along with other news.
Curiously, below is an image I took with a thermal imaging camera showing how the temperature of the drone changes during the process.
The DJI Fly app has reached version 1.6.4, and with it, the RC Pro Controller and RC Controller have also received firmware updates with some fixes. A complete list of what’s new in this firmware update can be found here.
