WhatsApp: a new scam allows you to steal a user account from…
Criminals can gain access to the user’s account and ask for money from his contacts.
Currently, when a WhatsApp user sends a misspelled text message, for example, they have the option to delete it and send another message shortly thereafter, but not the option to edit the sent misspelled message. With WhatsApp for Android 2.17.26 beta, it now looks like the popular messaging app will finally get the ability to edit already sent messages.
According to website WABetaInformation, to edit a sent message in the beta app, the user needs to press and hold their finger on the sent message. This will display a menu similar to the one shown in the image below, which includes the option to edit the post:

The site highlights that while the novelty has been spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, the feature should also be rolling out to the iOS and desktop versions of the app. There is currently no word on when message editing support will be available to all WhatsApp users.
How to test the beta version of WhatsApp for Android
For those who don’t know, WhatApp betas are constantly updated with new features and functions before they are made available to the general public. Recently, the beta version of the app received support for silently leaving a group and a conversation filter, for example, in the iOS version.
Users interested in testing new features in the Android version of the messaging app need to register on Google Play Beta Program. To do this, it is enough to access this link and click the “BECOME A TESTER“. It is important to emphasize that the number of places in the program is limited and therefore not everyone who follows the link will see the opportunity to register there. Click on the link often to find out if there are new vacancies.
Another point to highlight is that beta versions of WhatsApp can be unstable and therefore not recommended for all users of the app.
