The EVM Pro truck, made on the basis of UAZ Profi, will receive an electric motor of 116 horsepower and a lithium iron phosphate battery, the stock of which should be enough for 300 kilometers. Heavy batteries “eat” about a third of the car’s payload – only one ton of cargo can be accepted on board the novelty. In this case, the maximum speed of the car is 80 km / h.
Since the Patriot SUV is the closest relative of the Pro model, there are no technical difficulties to also implant the electrical filling in it. But, as Drom clarifies, this is a secondary task. And the main one is to start production of battery-operated commercial vehicles this fall at the Technopolis Moskva facilities, for which orders are reportedly already in place.
From Ulyanovsk, the startup receives assembled and painted trucks, but without the engine and gearbox. With the installed electrical equipment, Profi will cost 4,000,000 rubles, but under the state aid program, the price can be reduced by 925,000.
When it comes to electrifying the Patriot, the cost is the same 4,000,000. But whether there are people willing to buy a slow, heavy and unreasonably expensive car for their own (and no budget) money is a big question…
By the way, the AvtoVzglyad portal was introduced not so long ago to the electric version of the UAZ Hunter – the silent SUV, as expected, demonstrated enviable off-road habits: details of the test drive can be found here.
