Series production of the Jaguar F-Pace started in 2016 and a planned restyling was carried out in 2021. This fueled interest in the model, but not for long, as crossover sales in Europe have been declining since 2018. Last year, the manufacturer reported that it sold 12,055 cars, 9.3% more than in 2020. In the first quarter of this year, however, the decline was 41.6%.
To rekindle interest, Jaguar has prepared a limited edition for fans of the brand. When creating the 1988 F-Pace SVR Edition, the developers remembered the prototype Jaguar XJR-9 LM – the winner of the 1988 Le Mans 24 Hours. During the daily marathon, the sports car completed 394 laps on the highway. Therefore, the run of the series was limited to just such a number of cars.
The car received an exclusive Midnight Amethyst (“Midnight Amethyst”) body color, 22-inch wheels were painted in “champagne color” and the side mirrors were finished in high-gloss black. As for the technology, there are no changes here.
Pricing for the crossover in the UK starts at £101,550.
