marek said:The process we used to create the exterior of the Acura ARX-06 is exactly the same as how we created a new Acura passenger car. The same world-class stylists who led the design of the Acura production car made the initial sketches and then narrowed them down to a few potential designs.

Marek said the team built the cars to conduct aero and wind tunnel model tests. made scale models stated. Acura’s designers then enlisted the help of Honda Performance Development to get their feedback on the car:

“The design was further refined during the testing and evaluation process until we found a final finish that met our performance goals while retaining all key Acura styling cues. It has been an exciting process.”

The car’s name is a reference to Acura’s previous racing experience, dating back to 1991, just five years after the company was founded. ARX-06 name, 6th generation Acura Racing eXperimental is the abbreviation.

With much more recent experience in IMSA’s DPi class, Acura will drive Wayne Taylor Racing and ARX, with teams winning the Manufacturers, Drivers and Teams Championship titles in 2019 and 2020.
