Mazda’s Russian office announced a grandiose recall: 19,795 cars produced from April 2018 to January 2019 are going to service. In addition, as the AvtoVzglyad portal found out, the recall campaign affects the entire Russian model line.
Repairs are required for Mazda 3, 6 and MX-5 passenger cars, as well as Mazda CX-5 and CX-9 crossovers. All of them can suddenly stall due to faulty fuel pumps: the impeller of the unit can be deformed, causing the pump to fail.
On all vehicles, low-pressure fuel pumps are replaced with new-type parts. Of course, all work for car owners is carried out free of charge.
By the way, despite the cessation of supply of spare parts, Rosstandart promises to continue announcing recalls for cars with factory defects.
We also add that Mazda wants to resume car production in Vladivostok, but cannot resume: the conveyor belt continues to idle due to a lack of components.
