Much has been said and recounted about the intrigue the traffic police is building regarding car owners going on vacation to the sea. At the same time, the subject of the most common ways of unfair profit for local residents at the expense of visiting tourists is somehow poorly treated. The AutoVzglyad portal fills this gap.

An extremely small proportion of cars driving the M4 “Don” to the warm Black Sea in summer overcome the entire route, stopping only to refuel. Most vacationers stop for one reason or another – for an overnight stay or to buy something on the way. At these times, rogue representatives of the local population lie in wait for them. In order not to be fooled, it makes sense to know a few simple rules.

Remember: absolutely all markets and fairs near the M4 will try to weigh a passing holidaymaker at least twice! If you still feel the urge to buy some fruit or the like on the way, weigh it on the scales of the merchant from whom you are going to buy something, after finding out the passport weight of your smartphone in advance. And don’t be surprised by the fantastic readings of the scale.

Besides! If in June-August they “steal” hazelnuts for you in beautiful clear nets, do not buy. It’s guaranteed to be rotten. Normal edible hazelnuts won’t start until September!

And at the gas station, where sometimes you have to stop at random to refuel, in no case do not be fooled by pitiful requests for help with money (usually in the amount of 500-5000 rubles) from the driver of a passenger car stand there with the hood upwards. Sometimes he whines not alone, but in the company of his “fellow travelers” and tells a heartbreaking story of how he ran out of gas and money. This is a good old way of making money for representatives of the gypsy community, blatantly exploiting the sense of solidarity between drivers.

When choosing a place to stay on the road, we recommend avoiding campsites with many living rooms. And if you stop doing this already, don’t go to bed until you’ve made sure all windows, doors, and vents are properly locked. Otherwise, you risk being robbed by local “craftsmen” while you sleep.

If a traffic police officer stops you and starts accusing you of traffic violations, for which you are entitled to be deprived of “rights” (although you have done nothing of the sort), do not give him a bribe. Even if the mechanic shows you a photo on the screen of his smartphone, where your car, for example, crosses a solid axle line. Or if his “partner from another crew” radio confirms that he has measured the speed of your car, which is approaching in the first room. First, it’s all “scam”. And secondly, even for a real “counter-lane” or for exceeding 60 km / h, for the first time in 99% of cases the court deprives the court of “rights”, but writes a fine of 5,000 rubles. So you certainly don’t have to be afraid of being without a VU in such a situation.

Well, on arrival at the resting place we advise you not to buy “homemade” alcoholic drinks in plastic jerry cans from the locals. The recipe for such a “wine” or “chacha” with a probability of 100% implies only alcohol, water, sugar, flavorings and a few felt-tip pens – for the color of the “drink”. On the Black Sea coast, alcohol without risk of poisoning can only be bought in glass containers! And even then, with a caveat: you should only buy it in a chain store.

And don’t get behind the wheel tipsy, of course: local traffic cops love to slow down and sniff out drivers of cars with non-local license plates. This “customer base” for the traffic cop is bread and butter and caviar during the holiday season.
