On the northern bypass of Tver on the M11 Neva motorway, installation work has finally started. As the AvtoVzglyad portal found out, now more than 200 people and almost 90 devices are engaged in the construction of access roads, the organization of technological bases and the preparation of sand for the construction of a dike.

This month it is planned to erect several artificial constructions. Now preparations are being made for the start of bridge construction: 28 will be built on the bypass, the longest of which is the bridge over the Volga (738 meters). It has been designed to allow the passage of ships and will therefore consist of three parts: the left and right viaduct, as well as the canal section.

In addition, the northern bypass of Tver will cross the Tvertsa River twice. Bridges have also been designed there, but not as large as on the Volga. The length of each of them is about 200 meters.

In general, Tver’s northern bypass will provide “seamless travel” along the M11 “Neva” highway from Moscow to St. Petersburg, reducing travel time between capitals by at least an hour. It will be a four-lane highway with a length of just over 60 kilometers. Transport hubs are planned in the directions to Bezhetsk and Kimry.

Meanwhile, major repairs are underway in the Rostov region: by the end of this week, road workers plan to open up traffic along all 108 kilometers of the Rostov section of the M4 motorway, where the carriageway has been replaced.
