In the text, Tim Cook says that Apple continues its efforts at the national level (in the US) to establish a strong policy to protect the privacy of its consumers. He also praised the alliance of Democrats and Republicans in introducing the bipartisan bill, which is sponsored by members of both American parties.

O CEO Cupertino Giant stated that the company supports the bill proposed by the leaders of the Senate, and confirmed that Apple believes that privacy is one of the fundamental human rights. In a letter Cook also noted that while the company has a privacy policy, only American Congress can provide a strong data protection policy for all Americans.
