During WWDC 2022, Apple unveiled iOS 16 with a host of new tweaks for iPhone and iPad. However, one of the most anticipated products never showed up at the event. We are talking about Apple AR/VR glasses, apple glass, which should be released only in 2024.

According to media reports, Apple did not introduce its VR/AR glasses due to delays in the production process. Analysts at Haitong Intl Tech point out that realOS, the operating system for VR/AR to be used in Apple’s virtual reality headsets, has been delayed until early 2023, and therefore the Apple Glass device, a name that could be changed later, it should stay for the second half of 2024.

Apple “Glass”, when will it be revealed?

The company’s first VR/AR glasses have been the subject of a lot of rumors and speculation for some time now. A lot of information pointed to a possible product presentation during WWDC 2022. Even Apple has already registered the Apple Glass name in Brazil, and The Verge journalists went on a hunt to prove that the company is already preparing to introduce the product.

Maybe all the rumors were a collective delusion, maybe not. But the truth is that WWDC 2022 has passed, Apple has taken the stage and hasn’t given any sign of commenting on RealityOS or showing off Apple Glass. Rumors prior to the event indicated that the “worst case” product launch would be in 2023, now it looks like the launch is even further away.

While iOS 16 was the star of Apple’s WWDC 2022 presentation with a host of new features, Enthusiasts point out that RealityOS should finally show its face in January 2023 and that the company will hold a special event to show the operating system to the world. For now, we can only wait for the company to finally reassure users and reveal a little more about RealityOS and Apple Glass.
