In recent years, manufacturers from China have significantly improved the quality of their products – today it is difficult to call “heavenly” cars traumatic rattles. However, they have weaknesses. What should be paid special attention to those watching a passenger car from China, experts said, speaking at the online conference of the AvtoVzglyad portal.
– If we take the first wave of Chinese cars and probably the beginning of the second, these are bodies. It is absolutely necessary to do a good anti-corrosion treatment, and preferably not at a dealer, because the quality of work there is very weak, noted the co-owner of the City Service network of gas stations during his speech on. Sergey Bratishchevi
In addition, according to him, owners of “heavenly” cars often complain about the cracking of panels in the cabin, crickets and the quality of plastic parts. Other common issues include current 80,000-100,000 km shock absorbers and humming hub bearings.
But worrying about power units isn’t worth it, according to the expert. Chinese engines and gearboxes, of course, do not guarantee impressive dynamics, but they are quite reliable. At least, compared to those installations previously used by “heavenly” manufacturers.
Interestingly, in addition to the quality of the machines themselves, the service level has also improved. If earlier the owners of Chinese cars complained about undeveloped dealer networks, low skills of professionals and long waiting times for spare parts, today these problems are almost solved. The only thing is that there are problems with the supply of body elements – they go to the regions for 2-3 months.
In general, Chinese companies are repeating the scenario of their Korean competitors in Russia. After all, the latter’s products were initially also ‘famous’, for example for rapid decay and cheap interior decoration. However, it’s too early to say that manufacturers from China have already caught up with automakers from the Land of the Morning Calm, experts say. After all, they are also not standing still and are now approaching the level of the Japanese.
