– The Chinese look from the economic side, from the market side. When all the other manufacturers leave, they will bring new models here and maybe even open factories. But so far they do not have preconditions for launching a large number of new products, which saturate the market. They have unloaded their own market, everything is fine in their market, – noted Alexey Shvaikovdeputy editor of the Chinese Automobiles website.
He added that the capacity of the Russian market is small and the introduction of any new model must be justified. After all, car manufacturers spend a lot of money on certification, in other cases – localization, improvements to the climatic conditions of our country (for example, an increase in the washer reservoir or additional anti-corrosion treatment). And in the case of Russia, these costs are not always recouped.
New models will of course arrive, but not in the quantities that the ambassador of China spoke of. The Chinese will follow their plans. So, Chery in the near future in Russia will present Omoda 5, all-wheel drive Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 4 Pro (the next generation of the “four”).
