After the start of the Ukrainian special operation, Russian prices for their products were increased by almost all car manufacturers, including Chinese. Logistical chains were broken, the ruble weakened, and in general no one knew what to expect. Now that the situation has more or less cleared up, you would expect at least the ‘heavenly’ companies to lower their prices. But no – the experts of the portal “AvtoVzglyad” believe that this will not happen.

– Chinese cars will not get cheaper, and there are objective reasons for this. Yes, key rates have come down, but no one has cut delivery costs. In addition, dealers have to make utility bills and pay salaries to employees. All that can be expected are special promotions, – said at the online conference of the AvtoVzglyad portalAlexey Shvaikovdeputy editor of the Chinese Automobiles website.

Special offers are discounts that official dealers can offer customers “in exchange” for additional services, such as a trade-in or a loan. But even in the context of special offers, the Chinese are unlikely to throw away more than 200,000 – 300,000 rubles. When it comes to a car worth 3-4 million rubles, it’s not so much money. Although even that is good.

Price reductions are certainly not worth the wait, but an increase? Experts believe that the Chinese will continue to raise prices – the question is at what rate. And that will depend on the situation. Although the Russians have almost stopped buying new cars (the market plunged 83.5% in May), we are unlikely to see any sharp jumps. After all, the job of brands from China now is to attract customers, not to deter them. There are plenty of cars in warehouses, but there is no demand for them.

And more details about this and not only – in the inclusion of the online conference of the portal “AvtoVzglyad”, which can be viewed here.
