Minsk hosted Electric Transport Day, an event attended by car manufacturers, scientific organizations and electric vehicle importers. In turn, Minsk Automotive showed a new generation of city trucks – an electric model MAZ-4381EE
The electric cargo vehicle is based on the MAZ-4381 Kornet medium-duty vehicle, from which the chassis, cab, platform and bridges were taken. But outwardly it differs in the original liner and a different bumper.
With a total weight of 11990 kg, the load capacity of the machine is … 3,890 kg. And that with a body volume of 39 cubic meters! The car is powered by a Mogilevliftmash electric motor with a peak power of 170 kW.
One battery charge should be enough for about 200 kilometers, which only explains the modest charging capacity: to ensure an acceptable “range”, the designers had to introduce a bulky battery pack.
Until the end of this year, the residents of Minsk plan to produce a pilot series, which will contain 10 such trucks. Mazovians assure that the first edition was bought by one customer: he liked that the novelty consists of 99% Belarusian components.
And another piece of news from Belarus. Minsk “Motovelozavod” showed a prototype of the M1NSK four-wheeler (this brand is considered the successor of the Soviet brand “Minsk”). The AvtoVzglyad portal found out who might need a small car weighing only 463 kilograms.
