The Russian office of the Chery brand decided to offer the Russians a new brand – OMODA cars. In addition, as the AvtoVzglyad portal found out, a separate dealer network for the brand will be created.
Cars of the brand OMODA on the Russian market represent the “middle high” class. To make it clearer, the consumers always get one sentence: “I don’t want to pay too much for the brand.” These are the people who buy Volkswagens and seriously claim they’re getting an Audi without paying too much for premium.
As Chery’s press service assures, OMODA will become a worthy alternative to Japanese and German brands that have ceased operations. The model line will consist of two crossovers and one sedan, which will be introduced in phases until the summer of 2023.
The first to start is the OMODA C5 crossover. It is believed that “our” version of the “Chinese” will get a 197 hp 1.6 TGDI turbo engine from the latest Kunpeng series, which will be friends with a seven-speed “robot” with two clutches.
