Recently, the mayor of the Australian city of Redland, Karen Williams, met with a group of citizens. Namely with the victims of drunk drivers and with relatives of people injured in “drunk” accidents. Communication with such an audience clearly shattered Ms. Williams’ nervous system, and Ms. Mayor decided to take an alcoholic “drug” to calm her down.
Everything would be fine, but at the same time she made two mistakes. First, I clearly went too far with the dose. And secondly, I decided to go for a ride behind the wheel of my car afterwards. As a result, the mayor was unable to co-own the vehicle and had an accident while intoxicated. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, just a broken “iron” cost – not even the police had any claims against Karen Williams.
According to ABC News, a number of Australian politicians and human rights activists demanded that Williams resign as mayor after the publicity of the incident. And the Brisbane Olympic Council has even kicked her out of its membership. However, Karen showed the character of a real “iron lady”.
