As you know, the organization of “allocation” in Moscow has long been a painful topic for motorists. This does not alter the fact that the city council regularly writes victorious reports about the construction of more and more kilometers of lanes for public transport. Now Bolshaya Semyonovskaya Street fell under the guns of the fighters for the rule of full parking lots on the roads of the capital, the inhabitants of which fought in vain with the next “allocation” and lost. The AvtoVzglyad portal understood what happened in Izmailovo after the forced improvement of the public transport lane.

The story of the improvement of Izmailovo appeared in the media last October. When in the Elektrozavodskaya metro area, on Bolshaya Semenovskaya Street, an unregulated pedestrian crossing suddenly appeared on the ground, in the presence of an underground passage with elevators for people with reduced mobility 30 meters away. By the way, this approach to the organization of pedestrian traffic has already become a sad classic for our city, but despite the dissatisfaction of a significant part of Muscovites, radical urban planners do not give up.

Therefore, disrespecting the opinion of the townspeople, but for the sake of foreign fashion, which, in the conditions in which our country finds itself, should have long ago been declared a strange and timeless trend, at about the same time a strip for public transport. As a result, at least five nearby areas (northern Izmailovo, eastern Izmailovo, Izmailovo, Sokolinaya Gora and Basmanny) were trapped in a traffic jam. Reddened “Yandex.Maps” and surrounding areas. It became possible to go to the center either along the Shchelkovo highway, but it almost always stops, or along the Enthusiasts highway, where the infernal hell of eternal traffic jams has been observed, it seems, since the dawn of time, or along the Elektrozavodsky Bridge, where it is also difficult to call cheerful traffic.

“In November last year, a traffic light appeared at the pedestrian crossing on Bolshaya Semenovskaya and everything got even sadder,” local deputy Yekaterina Akhapkina told AvtoVzglyad. The entire Malaya Semyonovskaya Street was demarcated, along which some others somehow tried to avoid the resulting collapse of the cork. Journalists from federal TV channels came to this place three times and tried to raise the issue that this decision of the organization of the movement was unsuccessful, but, unfortunately, to no avail. Admittedly, after our calls and stories on television, for a while they covered the signs indicating the public transport lane with black bags, and you will not believe it – there everything went exactly as before, although with a discount for a useless intersection and traffic light. But our happiness did not last long.

I sent a request this spring to officials to demarcate the lane markings for public transport, but it was denied. In June, the “joyful” news came that the strip had risen like a phoenix from the ashes and would again collapse traffic in five districts. It is remarkable that users of public transport do not benefit at all from this. They will also have to wait even longer in traffic as this bus lane terminus has to be reached somehow…

“But now it’s time for vacations and the summer season. As soon as September comes, a real traffic nightmare will begin on this stretch for five districts,” concludes Ekaterina Akhapkina, who is actively supported by her colleagues, deputies Viktor Maksimov and Mikhail Timonov, who note that changing the organization of traffic on Bolshaya Semenovskaya is contrary to the interests of all inhabitants of the region and the surrounding area.

Confirm this conclusion and the results of a survey conducted by the public movement ‘Blue Buckets’. For example, 71% of participants admitted that they judge the organization of the movement with a “segregated” system as unsuccessful, and another 18% say it is only acceptable until the fall comes. Will officials this time hear the aspirations of deputies and ordinary citizens? It seems the answer is already known – no.

After all, we have a great doctrine about the benefits of public lanes, bike paths, even scooter lanes, and of course, wide sidewalks and bicycles. And it seems to everyone that it doesn’t matter that it came to us from latitudes that are already not only climatically, but ideologically strange. The cause of these ideologues lives on. And we’re stuck in traffic and no, no, but think about what’s more important to the city’s ecology: when it has a fashionable but traffic-limiting A-lane, or at least, when it has fewer traffic jams and cleaner air. ?
