Some time ago, the Minsk Automobile Plant developed a third-generation city bus – a very spectacular car, the silhouette of which (as conceived by the designers) should resemble a bison. Taking into account the export, the novelty was equipped with European units.., which now have to be disposed of.

So instead of ZF automatic transmissions, Mazovians now use a six-speed “automatic” from the Chinese manufacturer Fast Gear. The engines of passenger MAZs also have a “heavenly” origin – these are 6-cylinder Weichai units.

The portal rear axle, without which it is impossible to ensure a low floor level, was previously supplied by the ZF concern. But now Belarusian buses have a fully localized front end and “anti-sanction” rear axles – the latter is also supplied by the Chinese.

As noted by the publication “Avtobiznes”, the exact timing of the release of the first “anti-sanction” MAZ-303047 is still unknown. But most likely, the model will be certified before the end of the year, as Russian airlines are actively interested in it.

Meanwhile, the United States generally plans to exit the Russian auto industry without Chinese components. The AvtoVzglyad portal has examined how US authorities are tightening the stranglehold on sanctions.
