The crisis situation, which strongly affected the secondary car market in Russia, among other things, forced not only ordinary citizens and dealers, but also professional resellers to reconsider their positions. Which models are most in demand today, says the AvtoVzglyad portal.
The largest number of offers published by resellers on aggregator sites relate to LADA cars: to be precise, such ads represent about 17%. The second line in the ranking is occupied by Toyota (share – almost 8%) and the third is shared by sworn competitors Mercedes-Benz and BMW (each 5.5%). In addition to them, the TOP-10 includes Hyundai, Volkswagen, Kia, Nissan, as well as Ford and Renault who have parted ways with Russia.
If you look at the statistics by model, you can see that LADA Granta, LADA Vesta and Hyundai Solaris are in the lead in the segment of very fresh used cars (up to 3 years old). The TOP-3 among cars from 4-5 years looks almost the same: only instead of Solaris, Kia Rio is in third place. The most popular cars 6-9 years old are Hyundai Solaris, LADA Granta and Kia Rio, and more than 10 years old – Ford Focus, LADA Priora and VAZ-2114, according to the study by Avto.ru.
Despite the fact that resellers have quite a lot of budget sedans and hatchbacks, buyers still prefer crossovers and SUVs – their share is 17.1% of total used car sales in April-June, according to Avito Auto. More specifically, Russians are most active in buying LADA 4×4, Chevrolet Niva, Toyota RAV4, Renault Duster and Nissan Qashqai in the secondary market.
