While automakers are massively promoting green technologies and electrification, Mazda is going the other way. Diesel is what the new crossover of the Japanese brand with the letter CX-60 will be equipped with. And the engine will be incredibly economical. With details – the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

The novelty will receive a diesel engine of the Skyactiv-D family in two boost options – 200 and 254 hp. Of. At the same time, the first – not least thanks to the 48-volt starter generator – will be able to “eat” no more than 4.9 liters of “diesel” per 100 kilometers. The second is designed to “eat” the maximum 5.3 liters in the combined cycle. By the way, a more productive unit will receive only Mazda CX−60 with four-wheel drive.

It is worth adding that the car with these engines will enter the European market, where it will also get a 2.5-liter “petrol” and a hybrid. By the way, the latter is not of interest to Russian consumers, although it has an impressive power of 327 forces.

Production of the model started in April at the factory in Hofu, Japan. The Russian factory of the brand is still standing still. However, as Mazda’s Russian office told the AvtoVzglyad portal, the site is still dealing with a shortage of components due to a supply chain disruption.

“Supply of components to the factory has been temporarily suspended, the company is currently negotiating to resume deliveries,” Mazda said in a Russian representative office.
