“A very interesting day,” said Alexander Rusanov, the pilot of the GAZ Reid Sport team, about the race. – It was true to orientate, to pilot. There is little sand, just a small sandbox and “Big Brother”. And that’s it. But from the point of view of aerobatic roads you will not relax at all and it is also good in orientation. “Gazelle NEXT” behaves perfectly, everything is fine with the wheels. We understand the speed at which we can go so as not to blow up the wheels. Went in a “full slipper” as much as possible. In general, laying an interesting, special route is quite an art. Yesterday Konstantin Zhiltsov, Denis Krotov’s navigator, spoke very negatively about the route – they say that the crews did not enjoy it. However, the situation has changed.
“The track was good,” admitted Konstantin Zhiltsov. – At the beginning we got a chance to drive fast enough, good and beautiful, we were taken to yesterday’s road for the Big Brother. It is very hot, but we do not turn on the air conditioning: it is so hot in the cabin (60-70 degrees) that the air conditioning that is on does not cool, but blows out fiery air. In short, you need to be able to use thermoregulation correctly, not to loosen coveralls. Today everything is more or less normal, we walked without stopping, enjoyed it. Yesterday we were just “killed” …
There are indeed problems. For example, the crew has Andrey Rudskoy/Andrey Rudnitsky. Yesterday their G-Force BARS broke down and the boys barely made it to the finish. It seems that the car was repaired, but it again disappointed the athletes – the engine failed. The crew completed a technical meeting and most likely lost all hope for prizes.
– We stopped at the 268th kilometer, almost reached the Big Brother, – says Andrey Rudskoy. – Complete pressure loss in the engine. What exactly, I dare not say. 30 km before the stop, the pressure started to drop. We take the car to the service. If it is possible to fix it, we will fix it and return to the rally.
