The country’s authorities continue to develop the Gosuslugi portal, which should help Russians in almost all life situations: from obtaining a foreign passport to applying for a pension. This time, the new “superstructure” turned out to be a service for registering the purchase and sale of cars, which our authorities have long promised to launch.
The new service can be used by the seller and buyer over the age of 18 with verified accounts with state services. True, in addition, both participants in the transaction will have to install the State Key application on their smartphones.
Filling out the contract starts with the seller, who selects a car from the list of vehicles belonging to him. Information about the car is automatically filled in, after which the check of the vehicle for restrictions, searches and liens begins. If any of the checks fail, both the seller and the buyer are notified.
The parties then sign an agreement through the Goskey application, after which the 10-day countdown begins, during which the newly minted owner is required to register the car with the traffic police. In addition, a draft of the corresponding request is automatically generated.
As the authors of the service assure, it takes about 10 minutes for both parties to complete and sign the contract through the “Gosuslugi”. At the same time, the purchase and sale can even be carried out remotely – without a face-to-face meeting between the seller and the buyer.
In general, while the electronic innovation looks very attractive. And most importantly, it insures the seller against “eternal accounting” enthusiasts, when the buyer writes a new contract every 10 days and forges the signature of the previous owner of the vehicle.
