The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the launch of another concessional loan program for the purchase of cars. This time it will cover only cars of domestic brands, and for some reason only one electric crossover of Chinese origin. Other foreign cars were left out of work, according to the AvtoVzglyad portal.

— The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will resume implementation in 2022 of programs to stimulate demand for Russian-made cars with a total budget of 20.7 billion rubles. Leading Russian banks and leasing companies have confirmed their readiness to launch preferential car loans and preferential lease programs in the second half of July 2022.

The program includes new cars of the brands LADA, UAZ and GAZ with a value of not more than 2 million rubles and implies financing from the state budget of 20% discount on their purchase. For cars sold in the Far Eastern Federal District, the discount is 25% to offset the cost of their delivery from the European part of Russia.

In addition, state aid will be given to Evolute brand electric vehicles, production of which will start at the Motorinvest plant in Lipetsk. They are subject to an increased discount – 35% of the cost of the vehicle, but not more than 925,000 rubles. Recall that an assembly plant for the production of electric trains of the Chinese Sokon Group is being built in Lipetsk. Under the name Evolute, the intention is to bring its Voyah Free electric crossover to the Russian market.

The state aid program also provides for the organization of preferential leasing. In this context, the discount is 10% of the price of the car, but not more than 500,000 rubles. This scheme applies to all Russian-made passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks: UAZ, LADA, GAZ, KamAZ and Ural. The state program to support Russian automakers will begin on July 14. According to the plans of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the aim is to sell at least 50,000 cars with preferential car loans and 25,700 vehicles with preferential leasing.
