In Tolyatti, they decided to transfer production to a three-shift operation, in which the VAZ-11182 with eight valves of 90 hp is assembled. The AvtoVzglyad portal found out why the flagship of the Russian car industry needed so many engines.
It’s all about the announced relaunch of the LADA Largus family. According to insiders, vans and station wagons will return to the factory conveyor before the end of June. And since the car giant is now unable to organize the assembly of 16-valve engines (due to the notorious shortage of foreign components), all Largus will be equipped with less powerful units.
In addition, the line from which the LADA Granta cars depart has seriously accelerated: VAZ workers manage to produce 600 cars per day. So the 24-hour production of “eight valves” is quite understandable: the factory now needs a lot of engines.
And the Volga Automobile Plant resumed production of LADA Niva Legend, having developed a “simplified” Classic package for the 2022 model year. Portal “AvtoVzglyad” decided to clarify how the novelty can be of interest to the Russian buyer.
