In the immediate vicinity of the aforementioned car aggregate plant in Dimitrovgrad is the Master industrial park, 75% owned by KamAZ and 25% by the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation.
In the near future, the owners expect to prepare 26,000 square meters of production space here for potential suppliers of the truck giant: KamAZ wants to concentrate the production of components in Dimitrovgrad.
“Our goal is to get the Dimitrovgrad site in order and to place new companies here. Now we are working to make it a national center of competence for the auto parts industry”, Sergey Kogogin, CEO of KamAZ, outlined the goals.
In addition, it is planned that part of the production from Naberezhnye Chelny will be moved here. And the result will be the emergence of an entire “city” for the production of auto parts, so necessary for the infamous import substitution.
