While fans are literally catching the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 off-road vehicles that have become scarce from the dealer network, Australia’s Creative Conversions took one such car to turn it into… a flatbed trailer. The AvtoVzglyad portal explored how to turn a solid car into an ordinary hard worker.

To create such an unusual pickup, Creative Conversions extends the frame by 700 or 800mm. The luggage compartment is cut off from the five-door body and a steel wall is welded behind the second row of seats. Behind the four-door cabin, respectively, an aluminum platform 1800 or 2100 mm long is mounted, and instead of the rear wheel arch, spacious “lockers” for personal belongings are installed.

In addition to the size of the loading space, the customer can also choose the total weight of the machine – 4500 or 3800 kg (the chassis design depends on this). But the engine is only one. This is a 300 hp 3.3-liter turbo diesel, with which a 10-speed “automatic” is aggregated.

As representatives of the Australian company assure, seven pick-up trucks are currently in use at the same time, in addition, two are already completely finished. So, despite the seeming absurdity of this whole undertaking, there were still customers who were willing to pay for the construction of freight Kruzaks.

Meanwhile, Toyota Motor has suspended orders for its flagship SUVs, the Land Cruiser and Lexus LX. Yes, the demand far exceeds the supply, which is why the Japanese have decided not to put new people on the waiting list until the hype is over.
