Alexander Maksimov again took a win in the ATV category. His main rival is Alexander Gilemov. But it has bleak prospects: three shock absorbers on his quadric have already been replaced and stocks of parts have dried up.

“Yesterday the shock absorber broke, I installed a non-native one, but it also “flew”, Alexander Gilemov told AvtoVzglyad. I had to go to the asphalt. If I do not find a replacement today, I have to submit a meeting.

The athletes enjoyed the route. However, the rally is not without adventures. So Dmitry Mordkovich on a buggy in one day twice lay on his side. Colleagues helped, but of course lost time.

The adventures of Vyazovich with wheels continue. On the route he leaked two wheels and, without a spare wheel, 50 km from the finish, he drove away as carefully as possible. “Today the special stage was very diverse,” Sergey Kupriyanov, pilot of the gas diesel KAMAZ, told AvtoVzglyad. Indeed, in the beginning it was hot, and in the end it was slippery because of the rain. Yesterday was harder for me. And today, apparently, due to the fact that many tracks were fast enough and the terrain was constantly changing. Somehow everything flew by unnoticed, but very beautiful, especially the last kilometers. The wheels were taken care of, they didn’t stop anywhere, they arrived safely. At the finish, the first wish is to drink and pour over, we are always greeted with water.

All three trucks GAZ “Sadko Next” passed the track without problems and finished successfully.

They doused themselves with water! Unfortunately we do not have air conditioning. Today’s track was very pleasant compared to yesterday. Although she is deadly, she is still quite running.

Mechanics prepare cars. Today the preparation is particularly thorough: the next day is a marathon. Assistance from mechanics is prohibited. Crews rely only on themselves: on their strength, spare parts, skills and their own hands.

The Silk Road follows the Grozny-Elista route. This is the longest high-speed section – 485 km, and with liaisons – all 545 km. It’s getting hotter…
