This year the Civic model celebrates its 50th anniversary, and for this anniversary Honda decided to give itself (and of course its fans) a cool gift by releasing a ‘charged’ Civic Type R hatchback.

It was announced that the two-litre turbo engine would get a different turbocharger and a modified exhaust system. The company claims the engine has gotten more powerful, but how much is a big question. Previously, the “four” spent 320 liters. Of. and 400Nm.

In addition, the design of the model retained a 6-speed “mechanics”, front-wheel drive and a self-locking differential. But the list of riding modes has expanded and the chassis has undergone point improvements. The wheels are now 19 inches instead of 20.

Interestingly, instead of installing wheel arch extensions, Honda decided to change the shape of the body (!) for which they had to order new stamps for the front fenders and rear doors. The novelty also relies on a branded body kit and a powerful rear wing.

As for the interior, the main asset here was beautiful sports seats. the rest of the decor turned out to be quite modest… However, without any finishing touches, the Civic’s interior looks very fresh and modern.

And continue the theme of Japanese novelties. From 1997 to 2017, Suzuki produced a model under the Grand Vitara name that some consider to be an advanced crossover, while others consider it a full-fledged SUV. However, now this name is called a completely different SUV.
