And in 2018, the Chinese automaker sold a majority stake in Covina to the provincial government of Yibin (50.5%) and Sichuan Yibin Push Group (0.5%), a private company owned by alcohol giant Wuliangye Group. This is how Yibin Kaiyi (Cowin) Automobile Co. was born.
