In one of the industrial zones of the capital’s northwest, brand-new Toyota Camry sedans and Ford Transit vans are gathering dust in the open air. Fifty cars, some of which are not registered with the traffic police, stand motionless for months. The AvtoVzglyad portal discovered details about the anchored cars.
According to some reports, the cars were bought on the Russian market just before the sharp increase in car prices with a view to later resale. The owner is a legal person engaged in transportation.
According to another version, the black Toyota Camry and the white Ford Tranist would be jokingly leasing, and should only perform passenger transport tasks. However, given the drop in demand in the segment, most cars were not requested.
Recall that recently a huge warehouse of new Mercedes-Benz was also discovered in the Mother See. In addition, luxury GLS SUVs turned out to be “abandoned”, which, judging by some signs, had been ordered by one buyer.
And as many as 56 black Camry sedans turned out to be a “pit” in a forest near Chelyabinsk. True, later the owners of the cars were found – they turned out to be representatives of local authorities.
