Every year cars become more and more perfect – both technically and in terms of comfort. To please drivers, manufacturers are introducing more and more new options and technologies, but often it turns out to be the exact opposite. And what kind of “chips” of modern cars especially greatly annoys car owners, another social survey revealed.

So tenth place went to voice control. And while speech recognition systems are aimed at increasing safety, they are actually doing a disservice: they carry out wrong commands, distracting the helmsman from the road. Slightly more motorists are annoyed by the abundance of plastic in the cabin – they say that the materials of old cars are pleasing to the eye and that they last many times longer. At the same time, in a separate item, that is, on the eighth line, the drivers took out the Black Piano finish.

The seventh position is taken by niches for smartphones. Not all cell phones can be placed on a dedicated site. And if it also has a wireless charging function, then you often have to remove the case, which is also infuriating. Next in the rankings is the lack of legroom for passengers in the second row, the poor quality of the leather used in the decoration of the seats and – suddenly – “automatic machines” with a large number of steps.

The top three opens with touch control of various systems – it’s hard to disagree that physical keys (and especially while driving) are much more convenient. The “silver” of drivers’ complaints went to low-volume and extremely finicky turbocharged engines, which replaced the high-quality aspirated engines. “Gold” is in power-limiting systems, which are widely used on mass-market sports cars.

It only remains to say that the research was carried out by our foreign colleagues from Hotcars. And although the mentality of the peoples of Russia and Canada is different, in some respects we are very similar, judging by the results of the survey.
