As the state company Avtodor clarifies, when erecting a monolithic pylon of the channel support of the Murom bridge, the builders decided to use the technology of sliding formwork. This will be the first such experience in the practice of building domestic bridges. Both pillars of the pylon now “grow up” synchronously and the speed of pouring concrete is more than 2 linear meters per day.

The bridge is to be commissioned by the end of 2023. Much earlier, this autumn, it is planned to start traffic along twenty-six of the thirty-seven kilometers of the second leg of the M12. The mentioned part of the route will take over a significant part of the traffic that now goes along the southern bypass of the city of Vladimir.

For this purpose, the underlayer of the roadway with a thickness of 8 centimeters is currently being laid. This is one of three layers that will be developed. In the third phase, work will also be carried out on laying asphalt concrete. In total, there are plans to ‘close’ 560 of the 811 kilometers at the same time by the end of 2022, or 70% of the route.

And another curious clarification. In the alignment of the future “pay” archaeologists managed to find the ancient Russian settlement of Chaadaevo-5. Unique to this settlement was a single complex development, which was carried out according to a thoughtful plan.
