Crossover Geely Atlas new generation completely declassified

For the first time, spy photos of the new-generation Geely Atlas were leaked onto the web in March. But then it was not possible to look at the crossover in detail, because the car was carefully hidden by a camouflage film. Now, with the arrival of new photos, the intrigue has been revealed. The car without any disguise was “caught” on the eve of its premiere in China.

A few weeks ago, Geely posted some images of the all-new revolutionary FX11 crossover. Now it turned out that the next generation of the infamous Atlas (Boyue in China) was hiding behind this code designation. This became apparent when live footage of the same FX11 we saw on the road surfaced on the internet – showing the Boyue L nameplate on the stern.

With the generational change, Geely Atlas has changed drastically. And while it was initially believed that the hit crossover would borrow some solutions from the older Monjaro, the design is absolutely original. The original frameless radiator grille, the shape of the front and rear optics atypical for Geely, dark details instead of the usual chrome. At the same time, the new Atlas will be larger than its predecessor (4670/1900/1705 mm).

The novelty is based on the CMA modular platform, developed by Geely engineers in close collaboration with Volvo specialists. In the domestic market, Geely Atlas will be offered with 1.5 and 2.0 liter petrol turbo engines, as well as a hybrid power plant. Other technical details will be announced later – after the official premiere, which should take place the other day.

Geely Atlas, which replaced the generation, will be installed on the conveyor in November. In time, most likely, he will reach Russia. After all, despite the fact that this model has lost the status of the brand’s bestseller in our country and is ahead of Coolray and Tugella (according to the data of the Association of European Businesses (AEB)), the demand for it is quite high . But first we need to see Monjaro, who promised Geely representatives to bring to Russia before the end of 2022.
