What AVTOVAZ offered to employees who want to leave the company

Employees of AVTOVAZ’s subsidiary, the LADA-Izhevsk plant, were offered monetary compensation if they decided to stop. Portal “AvtoVzglyad” provides details.

For the employees of the LADA-Izhevsk plant, which specializes in the production of LADA Vesta, AVTOVAZ provided “additional support measures to ensure employment and increase the maximum load on the enterprise”.

As part of one of the “support blocks” for the staff of the Izhevsk enterprise, workers who decide to quit are paid five average salaries or 12 minimum wages, while simultaneously offering jobs at other factories in the city. Recall that from June 1, 2022, the minimum wage is set at 15,279 rubles. Thus, 12 minimum wages now correspond to 183,348 rubles.

Employees who sign a letter of resignation “with the agreement of the parties” will receive 5-7 average salaries, depending on the length of employment at LADA-Izhevsk. AVTOVAZ also said in a statement that resigning LADA-Izhevsk workers will be retrained free of charge for new occupations “in high demand in the labor market of Izhevsk and Udmurtia, with subsequent assistance in finding work.”

At the same time, the automaker emphasizes that the company has no plans to carry out mass layoffs, and the announced measures to support the LADA-Izhevsk labor collective are exclusively voluntary for every employee of the company.
